There was this anime where the characters would battle against each other in an arena like circled. They would use their “cars” with 6 tires on this arena. I’m not pretty sure but I think the main character looked like Yugi. Thank you if you help me

/q/61436Why don't titan shifters keep their napes hardened all the time

When Levi took down the beast titan in season 3 part 2, the beast titan mentions that Levi is too fast and that he won't be able to harden his nape in time. So why don't all titan shifters keep their napes hardened all the time?

/q/61427When Homura took over the world it was playing "I was Waiting For This Moment" but is it actually someone else's song in reverse?

So I went ahead and tried exploring and reversing YouTube videos that i made into mp3 files which one of them being the "I Was Waiting For This Moment" song from when Homura you know, took over the universe. And I played it backwards using /reverse/

So um it sounded exactly like another song from Madoka Magica... I remember the music but not the name... If your watching it now just wait a few seconds and you'll see. So am i going crazy or what...

Can someone else listen to the original song, and the reversed theme and tell me if I'm right?
And if they're able to the name of the other song?
(It sounds like it at the beginning-middle the end; i just don't know)
BTW: The two links takes you to a google drive file so your safe :D

/q/61422One Punch Man After Season 2

I just finished binging One Punch Man Seasons 1 and 2, and I absolutely loved it. But it seems to me that the second season has an incomplete ending, and full of cliffhangers. I want to continue watching the main plot, but there are many confusing titles after the second season, and all of them are named "SPECIALS". So, which one should I continue with?

/q/61402What kind of demon is in "My Status as an Assassin Obviously Exceeds the Hero's"?

In the manga My Status as an Assassin Obviously Exceeds the Hero's, the English translation refers to a "Demon Kingdom" and a "Demon King". Based on the wording in the original Japanese, which of the Japanese variations of "demon" are they referencing?

Do they use a foreign loan word, or are they referring to a specific type of demon out of Japanese folklore, such as a yokai or an oni?

/q/61384Can you write in English in the Death Note?

I'm wondering whether the Death Note would still work if you wrote in English or other languages, or if you have to write in Japanese.

For example, if I was to write "John Doe is going to die in a car accident", would I need to translate it into Japanese or would I be able to simply just write it in English?

/q/61333Does Reiner suffer from split personality or DID?

I noticed that during two situations he behaved in an unusual way, which might mean he suffers from split personality.

I noticed this in the following scenes:

When Reiner and Bertholdt kidnap Eren, they sit on a tall tree in the forest with Ymir.

Also when Reiner asks Annie to take the ODM gear from Marco, then cries when he gets devoured by a titan

/q/61293Why Ymir jaw titan and Galliard jaw titan look so different?

Ymir jaw titan looks rachitic, when Galliard jaw titan looks bulky.

Ymir jaw titan

Galliard jaw titan

I didnt even recognize the jaw titan when I saw it in the last season of the anime. Why is this so? Is there any explanation in the manga or in any sourcebook why Ymir jaw titan and Galliard jaw titan look so different?

/q/61267Was "archaic Japanese" used to narrate historical anime series?

By historical anime series, I mean shows that portrayed important historical characters and has a storyline set during monarchial and feudal period of Japan.

Japanese language has undergone a vast transformation. The order was somewhat like:

Old Japanese -> Early Middle Japanese -> Late middle Japanese -> Early modern Japanese -> Modern Japanese

The Japanese spoken today differs from that spken during those times. I am assuming that the old Japanese is considered archaic and obsolete (just like Shakesperean English is obsolete today). So, did anime series whose story is set during those times used a different kind of Japanese? Did VAs used "archaic Japanese" for such roles or went with normal Japanese? Or did they worked with dialects*?

*FWIW, I found this piece of information:

Modern Japanese is considered to begin with the Edo period, which lasted between 1603 and 1868. Since Old Japanese, the de facto standard Japanese had been the Kansai dialect, especially that of Kyoto. However, during the Edo period, Edo (now Tokyo) developed into the largest city in Japan, and the Edo-area >dialect became standard Japanese.

So, since Kansai dialect was the standard Japanese during those times, VAs who know Kansai dialect might be suitable for such roles and story. Did historical anime used heavy dialects to give an impression of "archaic Japanese"?

/q/61083In AoT, if Rod Reiss became an abnormal because he "licked" the serum, why didn't Eren become an abnormal while taking the Armor serum?

We see that Rod Reiss becomes a disgusting abnormal, and by some research I found out that the reason for his large form was that he took the serum in the wrong way, i.e., he licked it. Later in the episode, we see that Eren also takes the Armor Serum by breaking the vial by his teeth and taking the serum via his mouth - which is again, a wrong way. Then why didn't he become an abnormal like Rod Reiss?

/q/60994Why did the Marleyans go after the Founding Titan if they were aware of King Fritz' warning to organize the rumbling?

The Marleyans were clearly after the founding titan to gain control of Paradis Island's resources and to finish off the Eldians for good. But why did they even plan on bothering them, knowing the King's warning of sending thousands of colossal titans to stomp the world? Geologically, fossil fuels could be found at so many places other than Paradis, and most of the Eldians were either prosecuted in Marley or sealed within the walls. Also, the King's will to renounce any sort of war was passed on to each of his generations. With everything going to the Marleyans' advantage, was the entire plan of breaching the walls worth it after all?

/q/59460Is there another anime series aside Gundam which created real scale giant robots?

I was taking a look at the amazing real scale Gundam projects in Youtube. They arent real merchandising today but everything makes one think someday in the future they will be extremely expensive merchandising for billionaries or millionaries depending on if they are just statues or the real moving ones

/q/55713How much does the ODM gear weigh?

The ODM makes people get airborne, look awesome and contribute to the fight against the enimeys of paradise. But how much does it weigh? People are constantly running with it so I assume it doesn't weigh that much, but I don't think its that light either.

/q/49271Can the Kekkai Touta be achieved by anyone with 3 chakra natures?

Oonoki was a student of Lord Mu (The 2nd Tsichukage), the 2 of them weren't related in any way. However, Oonoki was able to learn the Dust release (Aka particle style in Dubs) from him.

Does this mean that the tsichukage can also teach kekkai touta to individuals with at least 3 chakra natures?
(Kekkai Touta is a more advanced version of Kekkai Genkais and is a combination of 3 chakra natures).

/q/49042What causes the Susano to morph into more advanced stages

During Sasuke's "evil phase", the anime shows us his advancement along the different stages of the Susanoo. The most noticable thing is that Sasuke's Susanoo responds with his feelings, more like it feeds of his anger. During his fight with Danzo, sasuke becomes really enraged at how Danzo talks about itachi and his Susanoo starts developing flesh and its eyes light up. Later on in the fight, Sasuke screams and his Susano further develops an offensive weapon and even starts using arrows. (His Susanoo had 2 major powerups while he was against Danzo [flesh and an offensive weapon]
[]1

During that moment obito even mentioned that "His hatred has matured and gained in power" (he says it a bit differently from how the manga does. Shippuden Episode 210).

So does this mean that the only way to advance the Susanoo is through negative emotions? I want to clarify this cause the Wiki doesnt explicitly state how the Susanoo morphs from bones to full clothed Armor. The only Sharingan user that the anime really focuses on in terms of Susano development is Sasuke. SO its hard to actually generalize this concept of hatred feeding Susano for all sharingan users. (I'm not sure if i missed something)

/q/48058Near the end of the Steins;Gate opening theme, why are only Okabe, Suzuha, and Luka looking to the right?

When I watched Steins;Gate for the first time, this part of the opening drew my attention:

The placement and the facing directions of the characters here seemed too deliberate to be arbitrary, so I felt like there was some sort of symbolism that I was missing. Do Okabe, Suzuha, and Luka have something in common that could explain why they're the only ones facing to the right?

Or am I overthinking this and the directions are just random?

/q/47054What song plays during the fight between Kaneki/Sasaki with Owl in Tokyo Ghoul:re episode 6?

/q/44200Why didn't Annie take Eren out of his Titan when she kicked and beat him in the head during their fight in Stohess?

When Annie hardened her leg and kicked Eren in the face, Eren started to bite down on the crystal until Annie started beating him in the head. However, when she was done, she just ran away. That was the perfect time to take him out of his nape and if she'd done so, I believe the female titan would've succeeded.

So, what was going through Annie's mind? Why didn't she take Eren out of his Titan when she kicked and beat him in the head during their fight in Stohess?

/q/43793What is the plot in "Yukiochimura ni Oujosama!"?

I have watched Kaichou wa Maid-sama! anime and read the manga.

There's a one-shot Yukiochimura ni Ojousama! where Misaki and Takumi have children. When I read it, I think it is about some kind of detective and investigation. However, I don't even understand the story.

Have someone read the story, please kindly explain it to me.

/q/42016Why didn't they take Asuna's NerveGear off?

I've recently gone through Sword Art Online and I must say it is by far
one of the greatest anime I've seen.
But there's one thing that bugs me.

After SAO was cleared by Kirito and Asuna was found in ALO, why didn't they just take her NerveGear off? After all, it's ok to die in ALO and the NerveGear shouldn't fry the brain of the user after they die in-game anymore. So Asuna should've been completely fine right?

/q/11255What happened to Eren that made him unable to turn into a Titan in chapter 53 of the manga?

I am referring to when he has trouble turning into full-sized Titan after he underwent intelligence and endurance testing. It happened in chapter 53 of the series, during the Uprising Arc.

This is a quote from the Attack on Titan Wiki:

During an experiment to test Eren's hardening abilities, a severed Titan form of Eren falls to the ground. Hange is unable to get a response from him and because Levi notices that this Titan is underdeveloped, Mikasa and Hange remove Eren's body from the Titan. [...]. A day later, Eren finally wakes up. He doesn't seem to remember anything from the experiment and is upset to find out that there were no signs of the hardening ability. Hange explains that since Eren transformed without being able to employ the hardening ability, they decided to run intelligence and endurance tests. [...]. However, after one hour of testing, Eren suddenly, after writing something about his father, became unable to perform the tasks and eventually left his Titan body. After thirty minutes of rest, he transformed again. However, this time his Titan form was only 13 m tall, contrary to the usual 15 m, and couldn't perform any of the intelligence tests. For the third time, the Titan was only 10 m tall and was incomplete, with his human body being attached to it more firmly than before. Eren takes this news as a proof that the operation to retake Wall Maria cannot be performed at the moment.

Why did this happen and how was it resolved?
